One lesson I learned in 2020 is that meeting is different from gathering.
Meeting is a simple way to get together. It’s spontaneous, casual, and easy to set up. It’s perfectly suitable for having conversations or just being with each other.
Gathering on the other hand is thought through. It’s led by a host. And it was called with a specific intent. To shape a special moment for a closed circle of people.
Most people think of gatherings as wedding parties. But gathering can be brought into every day life. In fact it should. It can be a dinner in the garden, a poem night or a games night. We don’t have to wait for a big anniversary to create special moments.
